Kitchenware Cleaning and Maintenance Guide

Care Instructions

The versatile, high-quality, and versatile cookware of Qana cookware is designed with thoughtful details. Cooking with Qana cookware saves time and energy, and produces excellent results. Cleaning and maintenance are also not complicated at all.

Cast Iron

After the cast iron pot has cooled, add clean water and a little detergent, and use a sponge or scouring pad to clean the inner and outer walls and bottom of the pot. After cleaning, wipe the pot body and bottom with a dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, soak the pot in warm water and add a small amount of detergent or baking soda until all the residue is removed.

Stainless Steel

Before cleaning stainless steel cookware, you need to cool it down first. Glass lids, in particular, can be damaged by temperature shock. Stainless steel cookware is easy to clean and can be washed in a dishwasher, but we recommend washing it by hand with warm water, a small amount of detergent and a soft cloth. Although Qana cookware has excellent resistance to strong acids and alkalis, it is also necessary to avoid leaving strong acid and alkali foods for a long time as much as possible. If there are white spots on the inner wall of the cookware after use, it is because the starch in the water and food is attached to the surface of the pot wall during the heating process. The removal method is simple, just wipe it with a little vinegar or lemon slices. If the pot body appears rainbow color, it is formed by overheating of salt and minerals in food. It can be cleaned with a special detergent. After using the pot, rinse it with clean water and wipe it dry with a dry cloth. Otherwise, the detergent left in the pot will corrode the surface of the pot.

Non-stick Coating

Non-stick cookware also needs to be cooled before cleaning. We recommend hand washing with a soft sponge and dishwashing liquid. Do not use steel wool, dishwashing powder or oven cleaner.

Aluminum Pot

Untreated aluminum or uncoated aluminum cookware is not suitable for dishwashers. This may accelerate the oxidation process, leaving visible marks.
